Golden Temple:

The most visited tourist place in Amritsar, is located in the heart of the city. Characterised by its entrance doors (called deoris) in all four directions and elegance in terms of art and architecture, the Golden Temple is open to everyone. The stunning sanctum with its intricate warks in gold sparkling in the water of the holy tank, flanked by spotless marble walkways and pavements makes breathtakingly beautiful sight.

Jalianwala Bagh:

Famous for the massacre by General Dyer during British rule, Jalianwala Bagh today is visited by several tourists in Punjab. Located near the Golden Temple, it saw series of bullet shots and blood shed on the day of Baishakhi on 13 April, 1919 when under the supervision of General Dyer, hundreds of unarmed Indian men, women and children were shot without warning. Today Jalianwala Bagh has become a tourist center but you can still see the marks of bullet on the wall.

Durgiana Mandir:


Amritsar also has a enchanting temple dedicated to the goddess Durga. Easily reachable from the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Mandir was supposedly built in the 16th century. Being located in the middle of a lake gives the temple a wonderful overall view. The temple has a massive structure and is achetectually is styled along the lnes of the nearby Golden Temple.

1. Quila Mubarak – This Monument is the symbol of bathinda history. One of the very old and highest small brick monument People love this place and more than thousands of people Daily visits this place every day


2. Lakhi Jungle- This is very beautiful religious place. This is a forest having very old gurugwara enjoyed the touches of Shri Guru Nanak Dev who recited one lakh holy Paths of Shri Japuji Sahib. This is suited between Bathinda and mukatsar. Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh also visited this place. So its called lakhi jungle.


3. Rose Garden- This garden has full of different types of roses This garden is very beautiful and boasts with large number of varieties of Roses. It is very near the city and is visited by large number of people on weekends. The 10 acre garden is located close to Thermal Plant. It has a vast variety of rose plants and is a good picnic spot.

4. Bazars- Dhobi bazaar, Ajit road and Mall road are really popular to visit and for shopping. There is always a heavy rush in these markets.

Bathinda Fort Picture


Bathinda Fort, which resembles a ship in a sea of sand, is situated in Bathinda District of Punjab. Built by Bhatti Reo, the fort is about 39 m high. Razia Sultana, the first woman ruler (1236 AD) of India, was imprisoned in this fort by some rebels.
The bricks of the fort dates back to Kushana period when emperor Kanishka ruled over India. The fort was captured by Maharaj Ala Singh of Patiala in 1754. The fort houses a gurdwara, built in memory of Guru Gobind Singh.
